Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The initial quote tool only asks for your gender, birth date, the coverage and length you want, your health status, and whether you use tobacco. To see your quotes, you never need to share your name, address, or detailed medical history.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These numbers are what the carriers tell us they would charge you for the health category you specified. After underwriting—which may confirm, improve, or downgrade your category—the carrier sets the final monthly amount. The rates on this site are not guaranteed and are not insurance offers.

What happens when I click Apply?

Enter your name when you're ready to move forward, and we create your application pre-filled with your answers. From there, the application continues on the carriers' secure platform. You can pause and come back any time. Signing happens electronically. The whole thing is handled by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the specific carrier, what amount you're requesting, and the details in your application. Many carriers can give an immediate decision for uncomplicated cases. Some may order a phone interview or a medical exam. Each quote on our site notes what the carrier does.

Is a longer term better?

A term you choose should cover the period when losing your income would really hurt: a remaining mortgage, kids at home, a business loan. Longer terms lock in your rate for longer but cost more per month. The quote tool shows all the term lengths side by side so you can compare price.

Does this site sell my information?

No. We don't request your contact information just to generate a quote, we never sell or share your information, and we don't use tracking cookies. Our measurement of how the site is used doesn't tie back to individuals. See the privacy policy for the exact details of what gets collected and who has access.
